FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Police Department held their annual “Guns for Groceries” event on Saturday. The program offers Market Basket gift cards and Domino’s pizza coupons for guns. Anyone who returned a shotgun or long gun received a $75 gift card. Handguns returned earned a $100 gift card. Dominos pizza coupons will be also be distributed. According to the department, 51 handguns, 60 long guns and a numerous amount of BB guns will turned in, which was a new record. In New Bedford, the department held the same event. 33 long guns and 13 handguns were turned in. Categories: News
