CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) -- A woman suffered serious injuries after a shooting outside a Chesapeake Popeye's on Sunday. At approximately 4:40 p.m., Chesapeake police officers responded to the 4300 block of Indian River Road in reference to a shooting in the parking lot outside of a Popeye's. Upon arrival, officers discovered a woman that had a gunshot wound. She was taken to a local hospital to be treated for serious injuries. The incident remains an active investigation.
