On October 11, Memphis Police Officers say they responded to Boston Fish and Wings restaurant at 2711 Lamar Avenue regarding a shooting.
A shooting victim told police two men were fighting at the restaurant and one of them pulled out a gun and started shooting. That is when the shooting victim was grazed in the face by one of the bullets and the back window of his truck was shattered.
Officers say while they were still on the scene, dispatch informed them that another shooting victim had arrived in critical condition at Methodist University by private vehicle. The victim was later taken to Regional One Hospital for further treatment.
On October 15, officers say they were able to get a statement from the victim who says he was at Boston Fish and Wings picking up an order before the shooting. He claims the suspect walked into the restaurant behind him and said, "I told you I'd find you in the mound."
MPD says the two men then began to fight. The suspect pulled out a gun and fired several shots, striking, both victims and two vehicles on the lot, according to police. The victim told officers he did not wait on paramedics and that he was dropped off at the hospital instead.
During that time, police say Jeremy Gray was developed as a possible suspect.
On October 23, Gray was identified in a photo lineup as the responsible shooter at the restaurant.
