ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - The Allen County Coroner has identified a woman and child who died Saturday in a crash on Interstate 69. Nalani Ella Ervins, 6, and Jaiden Samaria Marquis Newbolt, 25, both died from multiple blunt force injuries in the crash. Three other people were injured in the crash, which happened around 8 p.m. on the highway near the 320 mile-marker. That's north of Union Chapel Road. The initial investigation revealed an SUV was traveling on I-69 southbound when for some reason it veered off the road, hit a guard rail and rolled. Both victims were thrown from the SUV and were pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner ruled their deaths as accidents. Of the three others who were taken to the hospital, a minor was in critical condition while another minor and an adult had serious injuries, police said. The crash is still under investigation.
