El Paso International Airport gets ready for Thanksgiving weekend

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso International Airport is ready for the holiday travel season and is anticipating a record number of travelers during the Thanksgiving weekend, the City said in a press release.
The City says the Thanksgiving travel season will end on Tuesday, Dec. 3. Throughout this period, the airport will have just over 100,000 seats available, compared to about 91,000 last year.
The City says Wednesday, Nov. 27, and Sunday, Dec. 1, are expected to be the busiest days.
The City has also provided a list if tips for passengers to have a smooth journey. Those tips are the following:
Plan Ahead
Visit TSA.gov to review the prohibited items list as well as identification requirements.

Arrive Early
Arrive at least two hours before their departure time, with a maximum of four hours. This allows ample time for waiting in queue lines and a stress-free experience.
Parking
The short-term parking lot is expected to fill up. Passengers are encouraged to use long-term parking, reserve a space in advance through valet parking with Park Air Express, or via premium parking. Visit FlyELP.com to review options and pricing.
Picking up
The cell phone waiting lot is a way to pick up arriving guests when the short-term lot becomes full.
