COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– It’s official, the State Christmas tree is now shining bright at the State House.
It was lit last night at the 58th annual Governor’s Carolighting.
Hosted by Miss South Carolina Davis Wash, the event featured Christmas carols, performances by local artists, and of course the lighting of South Carolina’s official Christmas tree.
This year’s State Christmas tree is a 35 foot tall Norway Spruce from Henderson Tree Farms in Morganton, North Carolina.
Governor Henry McMaster says it’s a great way for South Carolinians to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season.
