COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- A Columbus restaurateur couple is closing one of their downtown eateries after shuttering a neighboring restaurant last week. Little Palace at 240 S. Fourth St. will welcome customers for the last time on Wednesday, owners Tina and Randy Corbin announced on social media. The post said, that despite months of negotiations, the Corbins "were unable to reach a fair agreement with the current landlords to continue operating in this space we've all come to cherish." Columbus pizzeria opens second central Ohio location "For over a decade, Little Palace has been more than just a restaurant or bar. It's been a gathering place, a second home, and a tapestry woven with countless memories shared over meals and drinks," the post read. "The friendships, laughter, and sense of community you've brought through our doors will remain with us forever." The announcement comes after the Corbins also shuttered El Camino Inn on Nov. 23, a Mexican restaurant that operated in the same building as Little Palace at 238 S. Fourth St. El Camino, which opened in 2012 with tacos, margaritas and began selling vintage items last year, also closed due to "lease negotiations." (Franklin County Auditor's Office) "While this chapter is ending due to lease negotiations, our hearts are full of gratitude for the incredible community we’ve been lucky to call our friends and family," a post on El Camino's social media read. "Thank you for all the love and support over the years. We’ll miss you, but the memories made here will live on." While a more than 20-story development has been proposed for the site directly behind the building housing El Camino and Little Palace, the proposal does not call for the demolition of that building. Brutus statue vandalized near Ohio State campus To celebrate its final week, Little Palace will be open open 11 a.m. to midnight on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The restaurant had relaunched in 2010 and features a menu of sandwiches, pizzas, subs and a selection of cocktails, beer and wine. "While this chapter is coming to a close, we hold onto hope for what the future might bring. This isn’t goodbye forever -- just goodbye for now," Little Palace social media said. "Though the Little Palace as we know it may be ending, its spirit lives on in every story, connection, and memory you’ve created here."
