SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A Flywheel taxi crashed into a concrete utility pole Sunday night in San Francisco, the San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD) said. The pole was resting on a building. The collision happened around 9:26 p.m. at the intersection of 14th and Castro streets. The person driving the taxi at the time of the crash ran away, SFFD said. Video from the Citizen App (above) shows the taxi at the scene, along with the damaged pole. (Citizen App) No passengers were inside the taxi at the time of the crash. According to SFFD, traffic lights at the intersection were shut down due to the crash. No other information was immediately available. KRON4 reached out to the San Francisco Police Department for more information. We are waiting to hear back.
