Vine and Tap hosts inaugural Holiday Market

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Vine and Tap held its inaugural Holiday Market with gifts and crafts Sunday afternoon in Rochester. Officials said it was a great way to support local businesses.
"Being a new business myself, there's a lot that goes into it - a lot of effort. It's great to support smaller businesses," said owner John Cahill. "There's a lot of big businesses out there and we support them every day, but small businesses are the backbone of what makes our country great in general."
Visitors were able to get an early start on their holiday shopping while enjoying wine and craft beer. Vine and Tap is located on 4768 Lake Avenue. The bar partnered with Xtraredhot Events Sunday for this holiday special, which raised money for dogs diagnosed with cancer.
"We are doing a vendor craft event to benefit Vanessa and Lola's Legacy. As some people may remember Vanessa was the pit in the Town of Ogden who eventually passed from cancer. So, her mom started Vanessa and Lola where she raises money to help people with pits and rots diagnosed with cancer. Help with treatments or - just general resources of how to navigate a situation like that," said Karen Bragg, president of Xtraredhot Events.
Drink specials for the day included:
Holiday wine tasting
Christmas Sangria available to sip while you shop
Seasonal Beer Flight featuring local craft beers
