CORRALES, N.M. (KRQE) – The Christmas spirit was in full swing on Sunday during a parade in the Village of Corrales! Locals could see horses and mules strolling down the main road, all dressed to impress.
The Christmas Horse Parade has been a long-standing tradition, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, and it welcomes families from all over the area to the unique holiday spectacle.

"It was wonderful to see how many people were so fully decorated, costumed. The horses were wonderful. The animals [and] the wagons were beautiful. The whole parade was very well attended and very well received, and I'm thrilled because there have been years where we didn't have very many," said participant Nancy Freshour.
The event also serves as an opportunity to donate toys and food to help families in need.
