SUFFOLK, VA. (WAVY) -- One adult suffers serious burn injuries after a house fire in Suffolk on Sunday night. At approximately 10 p.m., Suffolk Fire and Rescue responded to the 300 block of Roanoke Street in reference to the residential structure fire. Upon arrival at around 10:05 p.m., crews found smoke showing from a single-story home. They quickly located and extinguished a fire in the kitchen area. The injured individual was transported to a local hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
