MEMPHIS, Tenn. --- A Memphis citizen is dead after a crash on a highway in Mississippi. According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, 57-year-old Lee Surall died after a crash on Highway 178 in DeSoto County. East Memphis crash kills one man, injures another MHP responded to the crash at 10:50 p.m. Saturday. According to MHP, a vehicle driven by a 73-year-old Memphis woman was traveling east on Highway 178 when it collided with Surall's vehicle, which had been traveling west. MHP says Surall was pronounced dead on the scene. The other driver involved in the crash reportedly received moderate injuries and was taken to a local hospital. MHP says it is still investigating the crash.
