The 41st annual Great Aloha Run is scheduled for Feb. 17, 2025, and will raise money for "more than 150 non-profit health and human service organizations and community groups throughout Hawaii."
41st Great Aloha Run is open for registration
Participants start at Aloha Tower and walk, run or jog the 8.15-mile trek to Aloha Stadium.
The Great Aloha Run has divisions for avid runners, age groups, wheelchair, handcycle competitors, military and those who want to walk the course with friends and socialize along the way.
No matter what division you are in, it's never too early to start preparing for the race. The Great Aloha Run is offering participants free in-training workshops led by the Mid-Pacific Road Runners Club.
Training sessions will be held every Sunday beginning Dec. 15 starting at 6:30 a.m. and will end around 10:30 a.m.
Meetings will be held at Kapiolani Park Bandstand where participants can "choose from a variety of pace groups so that everyone is welcome to train with those of similar pace in the streets surrounding the park."
Each session will include a good morning talk, stretching session, goal-setting discussion and then placed in groups to focus on building distance and speed.
