Police dog leads to confiscation of heroin, meth and marijuana in Grant County bust

GRANT COUNTY, Ind. (WANE)— On Sunday, an investigation in Grant County led to the confiscation of several illegal substances.
According to the Grant County Sheriff's Office, they recovered approximately 5 ounces of heroin, 2 ounces of cocaine, 8 grams of methamphetamine, 17 grams of marijuana, two digital weight scales and paraphernalia related to drug use.
The bust was the conclusion of an investigation that led the JEAN Team Drug Task Force Detectives and Grant County Sheriff’s Deputies to stop a truck near the intersection of State Road 15 and Overlook Drive in Marion.
Marc Miller was driving the car and his wife Michelle Miller was a passenger.
A Grant County Deputy deployed his K9 during the traffic stop. The dog smelt narcotics, leading to the search of the car and the arrest of the Millers.
Marc Miller was arrested and charged initially with several charges:
Dealing in Cocaine or Narcotic Drug, Level 2 Felony
Possession of Methamphetamine, Level 4 Felony (prior)
Possession of Marijuana, Class A Misdemeanor (prior)
Michelle Miller was arrested and charged initially with:
Possession of Cocaine or Narcotic Drug, Level 6 Felony
Possession of Paraphernalia, Class C Misdemeanor
