ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Officers with the Rochester Police Department are investigating a motor vehicle accident involving a stolen Kia early Sunday afternoon on N Goodman Street near Bay Street in Rochester. When officers arrived to the scene they learned a black Kia Sorrento was heading eastbound on Bay Street when it ran a red light and struck a white Ford Fusion that was heading northbound on N Goodman Street at around 12:30 p.m. Officers say the occupants of the Ford Fusion declined medical treatment at the scene. Those in the Kia fled the scene before police arrived. "The Kia Sorrento has not been reported stolen but it has signs of damage consistent with being stolen," officers say. Anyone with additional information is asked to call 911.
