San Diego Clippers team up with local food bank for turkey giveaway

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- In a display of community support, the San Diego Clippers teamed up with the San Diego Food Bank Saturday for the 79th Annual District Turkey Giveaway, bringing holiday cheer and essential Thanksgiving food items to families in need.
The event, which took place at the Cherokee Point Elementary Use Field, saw Clippers players Yauhen Massalski and Jordan Lathan lending a helping hand by distributing turkeys, boxes of fresh produce, and dry goods to local families.

The District Turkey Giveaway has become a beloved tradition in the area. This year, with the support of the Clippers and the San Diego Food Bank, it was able to provide food for hundreds of families, ensuring they don't have to go without a Thanksgiving meal.
