Santa Rosa German restaurant announces closure after 8 years

(KRON) – After eight years of business, a Santa Rosa restaurant is calling it quits. German restaurant Franchettis’ Gasthaus + Biergarten has announced the restaurant will close near the end of the year.
The restaurant announced its closure on its website. Franchettis’ also expressed appreciation for patrons.
“We would like to express our deepest thanks to each and every one of you for your patronage, support, and loyalty over the years,” the eatery said. “We have truly enjoyed serving you and becoming a part of your special occasions and daily lives.”

The establishment opened in 2016. The restaurant’s website said the staff and owners are “incredibly grateful for the countless memories and friendships that have been created within our walls.”
Per the eatery’s website, Franchettis’ “brings a taste of Germany to Santa Rosa.” Franchettis’ offers a range of foods, such as pizza, strudel, pretzels, sausages, and their signature pork knuckle, a selection of beers and more.
According to Franchettis’ website, The Promise Church in Santa Rosa may purchase the building. The restaurant said, “The Promise Church has shown interest in not only purchasing this building but their vision includes transforming our beloved restaurant into a Christian Cafe, a place that will continue to serve the community in a different, yet equally meaningful way.”
German food lovers still have time to get a plate. Franchettis’ closes its doors on Dec. 21.
