Deteriorating building causes road closures in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The City of New Orleans has announced two street closures due to safety concerns involving a deteriorating building.
On Friday, Nov. 22, City officials announced that Howard Avenue from Rampart to Loyola and the right lane of Loyola Avenue from Howard to Julia will be closed until further notice.

City officials said the closure comes as a safety precaution due to the "deteriorating condition of an adjacent building."
Drivers are being asked to use O'Keefe Avenue while the closure is in effect.
According to the city, "The closure will remain in effect until further notice is provided by the building owner regarding necessary repairs."
