Drivers on sections of Interstate 25 and Interstate 70 will see new toll prices starting Monday as transportation officials roll out “dynamic tolling” based on traffic conditions. The new pricing structure applies to the 18-mile stretch of I-25 express lanes between Monument and Castle Rock and the 12-mile stretch of westbound I-70 express lanes between the Veterans Memorial Tunnel in Idaho Springs and Empire. Drivers can expect to see similar toll prices as before, Colorado Department of Transportation officials said in a news release, ranging from $1.50 to $4.75 for I-25 and up to $9 for I-70. Toll rates may change every few minutes, and CDOT officials say the new structure will help maintain minimum speeds and keep traffic flowing.
