FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Police Department said its Community Action and Suppression Team made five arrests on Eighteenth Street on Nov. 23. Jillian Varela was charged with possession of Class A and Class B drugs after a search warrant allegedly found crack cocaine and fentanyl in her residence. John Teixeira was charged with possession of a Class B drug after a similar warrant allegedly seized crack cocaine from his apartment. Melissa McDermott was also charged with possession of a Class B drug for alleged possession of Suboxone. Tanya Correa and Carlos Lima were arrested for outstanding warrants.
