Fall River CAST Team makes several drug arrests

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) -- The Fall River The Community Action & Suppression Team (CAST) made several drug related arrests on Saturday.
According to police, CAST, the Neighborhood Engagement and Enforcement Team (NEET) and Housing Unit executed a search warrant at 103 Eighteenth St., Apt 1R, for suspicion of drug activity.
Once inside, officers found crack cocaine and fentanyl inside the residence.
They arrested 43-year-old Jillian Varela and charged her with Possession Class A Drug Subsequent Offense and Possession Class B Drug Subsequent Offense.
At the same time, a search warrant was also executed at 128 Eighteenth Street Apt 1F and officers found crack cocaine inside that residence.
They arrested 55-year-old John Teixeira and charged him with Possession Class B Drug.
Also inside the apartment were 51-year-old Tanya Correa and 59-year-old Carlos Lima. They were arrested for having outstanding warrants.
Melissa McDermott also was inside of the residence and was found to be in possession of Suboxone.
She was summoned into court for the charge of Possession Class B Drug.
