NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) -- Norfolk Police took seven people into custody after a barricade situation Sunday morning that lasted several hours. Police first tweeted just after 5 a.m. that they had responded to the 3100 block of Grandy Avenue for a barricaded person. At 9:15 a.m. they provided an update that they actually took seven people into custody and reported that the scene was officially cleared at that time.
