KOKOMO, Ind. — The Kokomo Police Department is searching for a suspect in connection to a Sunday morning shooting. According to KPD, officers were called around 7:40 a.m. to investigate a shooting in the 600 block of South Lee Drive. Upon arrival at the location, police found a victim that had been shot. They were transported to an area hospital and are currently listed in serious condition. Now, KPD said they are actively searching for a suspect in connection with the shooting, identified as Lucio Contreras. Lucio Contreras (KPD) Contreras may be driving a silver Chevrolet Malibu with a broken taillight, per KPD. He may also be heading to the area of Gary, Ind. and may be armed.
