YORK, S.C. – A motorcyclist died after striking a utility pole in York County on Saturday afternoon, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
It happened around 2 p.m. on Owens Road and Flat Rock Road near the City of York.
Troopers said a 2018 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling south on Owens Road when it went off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole and a fence.
The motorcyclist was transported by EMS to a local hospital but later died as a result of their injuries.
The driver’s name has not been released.
