KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- KCKPD has reported a fatal hit-and-run occurred this afternoon, November 23. According to the report from KCKPD, a pedestrian suffered fatal injuries while walking on the 65th Street Bridge above I-70 in KCK around 12:30 p.m. Former Kansas Republican congressional candidate arrested on harassment charge in Shawnee County The pedestrian was reportedly walking northbound in the southbound lane, crossing 65th Street when she was struck by a single vehicle. That vehicle fled the scene. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital where she died from her injuries. No other information is available at this time. This hit-and-run is currently under investigation by the KCKPD Traffic Division. Anyone with information is asked to call the crime stoppers TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
