MANDAN, ND (KXNET) — They're finding the missing piece to friendly competition and community. Dozens of locals from the Bismarck-Mandan area came together to test their puzzling skills through the Jigsaw Puzzle Tournament. "It helps your brain critically think," says player Angela Morford. The tournament happened at the Mandan Moose Lodge. Close to 50 people participated in teams of four. The goal was to complete a 1,000-piece puzzle as quickly as possible. A $100 cash prize was awarded to the fastest team, along with gift cards. Morford and Amber Geiger's team completed the puzzle in about an hour and a half, and they say competitions like this are important for bringing the community together. "[It's about] teamwork. Just have some fun, especially as we head into winter," says Geiger. "It's a great activity."
