(KRON) – The Vacaville Police Department arrested a man who allegedly was involved in a Fairfield shooting, the department announced.  The incident began at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday when Vacaville police officers pulled over a driver they said was “driving erratically.” The officers suspected that the driver may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol.  The driver was identified as 46-year-old Vacaville resident Matthew Fraticelli.  Felon arrested after ‘casually’ walking with gun in hand Police said Fraticelli was “nervous and fidgety” and police had to remind him several times to keep his hands in their view. Fraticelli was detained by police after the discovery. Police later learned that Fraticelli matched the description of a person involved in a shooting that had just occurred in Fairfield.  $3.5K of tools stolen in Colma heist, police look for thieving duo  The Fairfield Police Deaprtment located many spent .223 rounds and a car that had been struck by gunfire in the 1900 block of Blossom Avenue.  After being arrested for his U.S. Marshals warrant, Vacaville PD turned over Fraticelli to Fairfield PD. He was then placed under arrest for suspicion of charges related to the shooting. “Incidents like these are another reminder as to why officers conduct traffic stops the way they do and sometimes give specific commands to occupants,” the Vacaville Police Department said on its social media. “When individuals comply with commands, they can be safely and quickly detained, even in tense situations like these.”
