PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island House Speaker Joseph Shekarchi said that 20 children were officially adopted as part of the Rhode Island Judiciary’s annual Adoption Day. Rhode Island Family Court said that each child received a special gift bag filled with toys, stuffed animals, a frame for a donated portrait of their new family, gift cards, and certificates.
