NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — At a press conference on Friday, New Orleans Police Department Chief Anne Kirkpatrick says that the initial call regarding this shooting was made at 12:21 in the afternoon.
Less than one hour later, at 1:15, the first suspect, Nicholas Miorana, was arrested.
"That is the level of excellence that our police department, your police department, does," Kirkpatrick said.

Two suspects, Daniel Miorana and Darrell Adams, still remain at large. The NOPD says they believe this was a targeted attack; however, the fact that it occurred in such a public space in broad daylight has upset many who pass by the spot frequently.
"We like to eat, we like to drink, we like to dance, we like to do the Cajun thing. We are locals, and it makes us very sad to see our city turn into this," concerned resident Connie Hadaway said.
Some are now calling for more action to be done from the city to help make sure tragedies like this don't happen again.
"We need more police presence. We need more police on horses. We need more police walking. We need to find something for these youngsters to do. I mean this is 12:30 in the evening that this happened. I mean something is going on. We need to stop the violence," former New Orleans resident Devon Washington said.
