Tangipahoa Parish deputies arrest four men accused of internet sex crimes

TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Four men have been arrested in Tangipahoa Parish following an internet sex crimes investigation that took place for two weeks leading up to Friday, Nov. 22.
According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office, the men, identified as 43-year-old Nicholas Hines, of Walker, 32-year-old Michael Vicknair, of Gonzales, 33-year-old Robert Trahan, of Ponchatoula and 60-year-old John Gros Sr., of Mt. Hermon, were booked on one count each of indecent behavior with a juvenile and computer-aided solicitation of a minor.
The arrests reportedly came following the implementation of the TPSO's new Internet Crimes Against Children taskforce, which was developed in collaboration with Attorney General Liz Murrill's Office.

During the investigation, the ICAC discovered that the four suspects were allegedly having illegal sexual conversations with minors online. The suspects were reportedly arrested with the help of the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office, the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office and the Westwego Police Department.
