Week 12 begins with an AFC North rivalry on “Thursday Night Football,” as the Pittsburgh Steelers (8-2) travel to Ohio to take on the Cleveland Browns (2-8). These teams have met 145 times in their histories, with Pittsburgh holding a 79-62-1 regular season advantage, as well as a 2-1 advantage in the playoffs. The Steelers are on a five-game winning streak, easily taking care of business against the Raiders, Jets, and Giants, but also winning slugfests against the Commanders and Ravens in the past two weeks. Their defense is leading the way right now and during this win streak, only Washington scored more than 18 points against Pittsburgh. The Browns have had yet another season to forget. They’ve scored 19 points or less in all but one game this season, and have not been able to generate a significant amount of points, regardless of if it was Deshaun Watson or current quarterback Jameis Winston under center. The Browns defense has been solid for years but they’re struggling this season and have been shedding yards in the air and on the ground. Betting line and pick for the game The folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook are favoring the division leader in this game with the betting line being set at Steelers -3.5 points. This game looks heavily slanted toward Pittsburgh, but with it being a rivalry game and being played in Cleveland, it’s not overly surprising to see the line smaller than expected. That being said, I’m not expecting it to be close.
