PERRY (KSNT) – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) issued a boil water advisory for a mobile home park in the City of Perry on Friday. The KDHE issued the advisory at 11:40 a.m. on Nov. 22 for the Perry Place Mobile Home Park. The boil water advisory will be active until the risk of bacterial contamination is resolved. Residents are encouraged to follow these steps while the advisory is in effect: If your tap water appears dirty, flush the water lines by letting the water run until itclears. Boil water for one minute prior to drinking or food preparation or use bottled water. Dispose of ice cubes and do not use ice from a household automatic icemaker. Disinfect dishes and other food contact surfaces by immersion for at least oneminute in clean tap water that contains one teaspoon of unscented householdbleach per gallon of water. Water used for bathing does not generally need to be boiled. Supervision of childrenis necessary while bathing so that water is not ingested. Persons with cuts or severerashes may wish to consult their physicians. Rate hike listed as biggest driver of Evergy earnings The advisory was issued after a waterline break resulted in a loss of pressure in the water system.
