Gingerbread Southwest contest and auction returns

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Gingerbread Southwest is back this holiday season, offering locals a chance to meet Santa and take part in a gingerbread contest and auction. The event will be December 6, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Sid Cutter Pavilion at Balloon Fiesta Park.

The theme for this year's contest is 'Holiday Song.' There will be five categories with cash prizes for winners. Money made in the auction will go towards the New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired Foundation. Registration is still open for anyone wishing to enter the contest or auction. The deadline to register is December 2, and contestants must be delivered to the Sid Cutter Pavilion on Thursday, December 5. The event will include the gingerbread house contest, auction cookie decorating and a sponsored dinner.
