NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) —The ABC-TV show "9-1-1" follows the drama of firefighters and dispatchers responding to emergencies. Two of the stars of the show, Aisha Hinds and Oliver Stark, talked to WGNO's Kenny Lopez about their real-life emergencies. On ABC's hit show, "9-1-1," two of TV's favorite firefighters, Buck and Hen are here for the rescue. In the show's eighth season, both characters are evolving. TV talk show host Tamron Hall talks about her love for New Orleans "There are new hurdles placed in front of characters. My character is going through heartache. That is something new for him to experience," said Stark, who plays Buck. "It is the challenge that calls you in a way that's really profound," said Hinds, who plays Hen. Both Stark and Hinds say, in their real lives, they, of course, recognize the important role of 911. Kelsey Anderson’s New Orleans roommates talk about their friend’s quest for love on ‘The Bachelor’ "When I was 16-years old, I was caught in crossfire in New York. I was walking home from school and heard shots. I thought they were fireworks, but then I found that I had been shot in the back. I was very grateful for that 911 call," said Hinds. "I lived in New Orleans for six months and I had some emergencies. I had three car crashes in the six months there in New Orleans from people hitting me with their cars," said Stark. "9-1-1" airs on Thursday nights on WGNO-TV at 7 p.m. Stay up to date with the latest news, weather and sports by downloading the WGNO app on the Apple or Google Play stores and by subscribing to the WGNO newsletter.
