Dry and sunny weekend ahead, rain chances return next week
Nov 22, 2024
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Cool, dry weather will continue through the weekend, making it perfect for outdoor plans. Temperatures will gradually warm over the next few days after a chilly start Friday and Saturday.
Highs on Friday will reach the lower 60s under clear skies, with overnight lows dropping into the upper 40s. By Saturday, the afternoon will be slightly warmer, with highs in the mid-60s and plenty of sunshine. Nighttime lows will still feel cool, dipping into the mid-50s.
As the weekend wraps up, temperatures will climb into the mid-70s on Sunday, with a light south breeze signaling the return of warmer air. This warming trend will continue through midweek, with highs remaining in the 70s and lows in the 60s.
Rain chances stay slim until Tuesday, when a stalling cold front could bring isolated showers and some patchy fog. A stronger front is expected late next week, but the exact timing and potential for storms are still uncertain.
For now, enjoy a pleasant weekend with sunny skies and comfortable temperatures. Keep an eye on the forecast for updates as the next front approaches after Thanksgiving.
