Fond du Lac County first responders assist with 250+ calls for service during first snowfall of season

FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - First responders throughout Fond du Lac County had a busy 12-hour span during the season's first accumulating snowfall on Thursday, responding to over 250 calls for service.
A Facebook post from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office began by thanking its 'dedicated heroes' at the communications center, stating that between 3 a.m. and 3 p.m. on November 21, the center dispatched 252 calls for service.
Deputies said that the heaviest volume of calls came during the morning hours when most people were heading to work or school.

"Days like [Thursday] highlight the critical role our communication deputies play in allocating resources across Law, Fire, and EMS services. We are fortunate to have a passionate team working non-stop for the citizens (and visitors) of Fond du Lac County!" the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office's post read.
The 252 weather-related service calls included:
Runoff (Car in Ditch) - 41
Crashes - 45
Disabled Vehicles - 19
Assist Agency - 15
Traffic Problems - 6
