(BLANCA, Colo.) — Two suspects are on the run after they allegedly broke into a marked Blanca Police Department vehicle before they stole a black patrol rifle early in the morning on Thursday, Nov. 21. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Blanca Police are now asking for the community's help in tracking down the two suspects, and police are also offering a $500 reward for the recovery of the firearm and/or information leading to the arrest of the suspects. According to the CBI, the burglary happened on Thursday at around 2:30 a.m. in front of the police department located at 601 Main Street, where the patrol car was parked. The suspects were last seen walking east from the police department. "The picture below of the rifle is not the exact rifle but all Blanca PD rifles are identical," wrote the CBI, which also provided pictures of the suspects that it said were the best options available. Anyone with information is asked to contact Blanca Police Chief Ricky Rodriguez at (719) 589-5807.
