Zachary store owner arrested, charged after drug investigation, police say

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) -- Police arrested the owner of a Zachary food mart accused of selling illegal drugs after a weeks-long investigation.
Store owner Abdulfattah Saleh, 50, was charged with four counts of possession with intent to distribute, one count of transactions involving narcotics proceeds and one count of COZ Sec 58-40 Sale and/or Possession of Kratom Products.
Investigators with the Zachary Police Department conducted a search warrant on Nov. 21 at Gate City Food Mart on Louisiana Highway 19 and seized the following items.
11 THC "Ghost Pens" (96% THC).
143 Str8W8 Delta 9 THC Mix Juice.
120 Kratom Products, Synthetic Opioid (Outlawed by City of Zachary in 2024).
55 Kratom Products, Synthetic Opioid.
132 illegal THC Products.
139 OPMS Kratom Products.
1 box of vape pens.
100 grams of suspected marijuana.
$3,971.13 U.S. Currency (Pending Forfeiture).
