Suspects in Young Dolph case back in court

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The alleged mastermind behind the killing of Memphis rapper Young Dolph and the man charged with accessory after the fact are set to face a judge Friday morning.
Hernandez Govan is facing charges of attempted and first degree murder plus conspiracy. Friday is his last day to accept a guilty plea. Jemarcus Johnson already plead guilty to three counts of accessory.

During the Justin Johnson's trial, Cornelius Smith testified that Memphis rapper Yo Gotti's brother, Anthony "Big Jook" Mims, put a $100,000 hit on Young Dolph. Smith then identified Govan as the person who set up the deal.
If Govan does not accept the guilty plea, trial is scheduled for March 10, 2025.
Earlier this month Justin Johnson, the man convicted in Dolph's death, was sentenced to 35 additional years in prison for conspiracy to commit murder and for felon in possession of a handgun.
Cornelius Smith, the man who testified against Justin Johnson will be back in court next year.
