Warming trend begins today

Our taste of winter is over for now; if you're not ready for the cold temperatures and snow, you'll get a short break through the weekend.
It will be warmer this afternoon
Skies will remain cloudy with temperatures warming through late morning to the lower 40s by lunchtime.
Winds will gust up to 30 mph this afternoon
It will still be breezy this afternoon and we could see an isolated sprinkle or rain shower with some drizzle. High temperatures will be much warmer than yesterday with an afternoon high in the middle 40s.
It won't be as chilly tonight either under mostly cloudy skies temperatures will only fall to around 40 by sunrise Saturday.
It will continue to be dry and quiet Saturday with high temperatures in the middle 40s.
The warmest temperatures in the forecast come Sunday and Monday highs topping out in the lower to middle 50s.
Monday will bring a chance of showers as another powerful cold front moves across the area. That will plunge temperatures into the upper 30s for several days.
There's a chance of some early snow showers on Thanksgiving day but it will be dry for the remainder of the day.
More snow showers are expected late Thursday night and into Black Friday and temperatures take another dive into the upper 20s and lower 30s through next weekend.
