PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Board of Licenses ordered both Mezzo Lounge and Saje Kitchen to remain closed during police investigations into violent incidents that took place at both businesses. Mezzo Lounge on Charles Street was ordered to close after a shots fired incident, while Saje Kitchen was closed after a stabbing that involved the restaurant’s owner, who was arrested, took place. Providence City Councilor Justin Roias submitted a letter calling for the permanent closure of Mezzo.
