PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — For weeks, the region has been struggling with a significant lack of seasonal rainfall. But this year, the region also saw flash flooding, tornadoes and extreme heat. Scientists, like Brown University's Kim Cobb, believe that this weather whiplash is directly tied to climate change. "The fact of the matter is, we are breaking records in Rhode Island every single year, with climate and weather events," Cobb said.
