GLOCESTER, R.I. (WPRI) — The Glocester man accused of child molestation back in June is now facing additional charges, 12 News has learned.
The Providence County Grand Jury handed up an indictment Thursday charging 49-year-old Kyle Delaney with three counts of first-degree child molestation/sexual assault and three counts of second-degree child molestation/sexual assault.
Delaney, a former advisor for the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF), was first taken into custody over the summer.
He was initially only charged with one count of first-degree child molestation/sexual assault, but is now facing two additional counts as the case moves to Providence Superior Court.
Delaney is accused of sexually assaulting a victim under the age of 14 in Glocester between November 2015 and January 2020, according to the indictment.
Court records indicate Delaney is currently out on a $100,000 surety bond. He was ordered not to contact the victims and not to have unsupervised contact with minors.
