FARGO, ND (KXNET) — The Village Family Service Center, which has locations in Bismarck and Minot, as well as eastern North Dakota and Minnesota, is expanding its Health Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) to be available virtually throughout the Peace Garden State.
This virtual program will reach people across North Dakota and Minnesota, offering them mental health support wherever they feel most comfortable.
"By offering our IOP virtually, we can reach more people who need a higher level of care while allowing them to heal from the comfort of their own home," said JoDee Knipfer, Regional Program Supervisor at The Village in Fargo, in a press release. "Our program is designed to help clients regain mental wellness while keeping up with their daily responsibilities."

Since 2016, The Village’s IOP has supported hundreds of people aged 18 and older. The program treats high-acuity mental health conditions in a group-based format. It typically takes 8-12 weeks to complete and runs Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The program uses treatment methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-Based Therapy. It also includes weekly individual therapy, as well as family therapy sessions when appropriate.
Most insurance plans are accepted, and enrolling in the IOP starts with a free screening. To schedule a screening, call 701-451-4900.
