Man's body at East Bakersfield gas station had 'evident physical trauma': Kern County sheriff

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a man whose body was found at an East Bakersfield gas station as suspicious.
The Kern County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to the Fastrip at the corner of Niles Street and Mount Vernon Avenue at around 10 a.m. for a man who was down in the parking lot.

The unidentified 22-year-old man was found with "evident physical trauma," according to the sheriff's office. No other details about the incident were made available.
The Kern County coroner will determine a cause and manner of his death. The investigation is ongoing.
