Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers recently announced the expansion of its programs to include specialized services for adolescents ages 10 and older.
Recognizing the growing need for early intervention, Recovery Centers’ new adolescent-focused offering will provide tailored support for young individuals navigating the challenges of substance use, helping them build a foundation for lifelong recovery, according to a news release.
“Adolescents facing substance use issues need specialized care that meets them where they are in life,” President and CEO Melanie J. Blasko stated in the release. “By creating dedicated programs for youth, we are not only helping young people but also providing peace of mind and hope for their families. It’s a powerful opportunity to shape futures by offering early effective treatment.”
The new adolescent services at Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers will include age-appropriate mental health and substance use disorder counseling, designed to address the unique emotional, social, and developmental needs of young people. In addition to individual therapy, they will offer family counseling sessions to foster healing and communication among loved ones, ensuring a more holistic approach to recovery, the release stated.
