A tree trimmer suffered serious injuries after he was electrocuted by power lines in an unincorporated area of Escondido Thursday, officials said. The man was found caught in a tree on Skyline Drive near Idaho Avenue around 10:50 a.m., sheriff’s Lt. David Chandroo said. The man was lowered to the ground and taken to a hospital, Chandroo said. The man’s condition was not immediately known early Thursday afternoon. SDG&E had to cut power to approximately 790 customers in the area while deputies investigated the scene, the power company’s outage map showed.
