ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A Pennsylvania man has been arrested for a series of 'smash and grab' type burglaries in Livingston County. The Livingston County Sheriff's Office arrested Ben McCormack, 39, of North East, PA on November 15. He was found in the Town of Ripley in Chautauqua County, NY. Deputies have linked him to the following crimes: October 25, 2024 — A business on Lindwood Road in the Town of York has been broken into and several thousand dollars of lawn equipment was reported stolen. Earlier that same day, a similar "smash and grab" occurred at a business in Avon, with an ATM reported stolen. Deputies believe the two crimes were committed by the same suspects.
