(KRON) -- Two people were arrested earlier this month after nearly $4,000 worth of merchandise was allegedly stolen from Petaluma retail stores, the Petaluma Police Department announced Wednesday.
On Nov. 7, police responded to a report of shoplifting at Petaluma Village Premium Outlets. Officers contacted two suspects, identified as Tracy Blanchard, 48, of San Francisco, and Nichole Borquez, 34, of San Jose. An investigation determined that Borquez stole approximately $200 worth of merchandise from the shopping center, Petaluma PD said.

During a search of the two suspects’ vehicle, officers uncovered suspected methamphetamine, a meth pipe, the stolen merchandise from Petaluma Village Premium Outlets as well as additional suspected stolen property from Staples, police said. Blanchard was allegedly in possession of brass knuckles and a concealed switchblade.
The Staples merchandise, valued at over $3,500, was later confirmed by police to have been shoplifted.
Borquez and Blanchard were arrested and booked into Sonoma County Jail for grand theft and conspiracy to commit a crime.
