NEWTON, Kan. (KSNW) -- A company building a new manufacturing facility in Newton is already hiring. (Courtesy GAF) GAF, North America's largest roofing and waterproofing manufacturer, will construct a new shingle plant in the Kansas Logistics Park. But first, it needs leaders to oversee the project. Earlier this year, the company said the Newton facility would be world-class and create more than 130 highly skilled manufacturing jobs in management, engineering and operations. Traffic ticket email is a scam, police say For now, the company is hiring a plant manager, engineering manager, maintenance manager and finance manager. The managers will support the construction, commissioning and operations of the plant and help hire plant staff. After the key roles are filled, GAF will be hiring for salaried and hourly positions, most likely in the spring. Production is anticipated to begin in 2027 and reach full capacity by mid-2029.
